Humberto Flores-Landeros

Humberto Flores-Landeros is an expert in socioenvironmental analysis with specialized knowledge in agriculture, groundwater recharge, and environmental justice. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering and is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Environmental Systems at UC Merced.

Humberto is developing an innovative interactive application for the Tule and Kaweah subbasins in Tulare County, California. This tool allows users to visualize optimal land repurposing scenarios based on their priorities, implementing findings from his research “Water, environment, and socioeconomic justice in California: A multi-benefit cropland repurposing framework“.

He is Board Member for the SocioEnvironmental and Education Network, SEEN (Nonprofit Organization).

He is also an Author of the California’s 4th Climate Change Assessment for the San Joaquin Valley Region.

Humberto is bilingual in English and Spanish.
